September always feels like a turning point. School routines are in full swing, the pumpkins are out, and suddenly Halloween (and even Christmas!) doesn’t feel so far away. I love this time of year—the mix of cozy fall vibes, holiday anticipation, and plenty of family fun on the horizon.
On the home front, it’s been a busy month for us! My 7th grader is off on the annual rite of passage: the 7th Grade class trip. No phones or electronics were allowed (gulp), but from the photos the school has shared, she looks like she’s having the best time. Meanwhile, construction on the house is moving right along—countertops are in, painting has begun, and if all goes well, we’ll be moving around Thanksgiving. Which means it’s time for me to start getting our current house ready to put on the market. Things are getting real!
