The “big retailers” have been highlighted all week ad nauseam. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good Amazon find, but wow do I love supporting small businesses! As a small business owner myself, I know firsthand the dedication and passion that goes into running your own business.
So I’ve rounded up my favorites to make your shopping easier! The small businesses that I’m sharing with you today include jewelry makers, home organization experts, and even businesses that can help you with your own business. Ready to support some of my go-to small businesses?

Espacio Pop Up Shop
Katie & Jennifer run one of my favorite jewelry stores. I love that their jewelry is handmade, which means that most pieces can be customizable. Need a shorter necklace or smaller bracelet. Ask them to adjust it for you in your order. Check out my favorite pieces; The Doors, The Penelope, or The Lauren necklace.
Geometry House
I have loved every single item I have ever bought from Geometry House. They offer excellent quality dinner napkins, tea towels, beach towels, and more. I also love that you can find seasonal linens too! Use the code MKMMBI15 for 15% off your order!
Pip Pop Post
These are hands down my girls favorite earrings. The comfy flat screw backs, mean that they can sleep in these without fear of them poking them. My girls wear these earring almost daily. Check out the Heart earrings or the Diamond earrings.

Gotta Have VaEth Boxes
Back in 2020, as Covid set in, Gotta Have VaEth Boxes began to create cookie decorating kits, mainly as an activity for kids to do while stuck at home here in Houston. While they offer a number of ready-to-eat desserts, their main focus is to share the love of baking and decorating with the next generation. The kits come with everything you need to easily get started. My kids are obsessed with these!
Emily Claire & Co
Emily quickly became one of my favorite people in 2024. I started working with her early this year as part of her 10K Email Club. She recently launched The 10K Email Club: Spark, a group designed specifically for small business owners who are ready to get a weekly newsletter up and running. The 10K Email Club: Spark is now officially accepting new members until Tuesday! If you're ready to stop missing out on email marketing, and gain a fantastic community of founder friends along the way, Spark is for you.
Hello June Creative
In early 2023 I reached out to Jen to design the website you are now reading this blog post on and wow did she hit it out of the park. Not only did she design, the My Kids Made Me Buy It website, but she worked on a complete overhaul of my branding including a new logo. If your business needs a glow-up, I can't recommend working with Jen enough!
Katie K Interiors and AM Designs
Last year we decided to turn our playroom into my tweens bedroom, so that each of my girls would have their own rooms. Katie and Audrey hit this project out of the park!. They took my (and my daughter's) vision and brought it to life. Well they made it even better than we could have imagined!
Sarah Luna Fine Art
I have been an admirer of Sarah's artwork for some time. I added her art to my tween's room, but I wish I had kept it for my own room! Her new collection is stunning!
